Viber Desktop 13.6.0.58

Download/Usage Note
Viber must be previously installed on the mobile phone.

ProsCons

Calls, text, pix: Viber enables HD voice calls, video calls, free text and film sharing to other Viber users and group conversations. It adds contacts automatically, which saves effort, though some users might prefer more options (see below).

Encrypted communication

Media sharing

Exclusive games

Cross-platform syncing

Cross-platform: Viber has versions for Windows (including Windows 8 desktop or mobile), similarly as Windows Phone, Android, Mac, iOS, BlackBerry, Bada, and Nokia operating systems. It supports both 3G/4G and Wi-Fi networks.

Improved Windows app: We had no trouble installing and fitting Viber for Windows in our 32-bit Windows Home Premium system. We entered our signaling and an SMS validation code to sync our phone and PC. the full thing took some seconds and worked the primary time.

Contact options: The Windows app automatically adds all of your Contacts, which is convenient but a small amount inflexible.

Cross-app SMS isn't free

Fewer users than the competition

Cluttered interface

Data plan: Viber for Windows doesn't work without a smartphone. Viber also uses your phone's data attempt to make some calls.

Whats New (version 13.6.0.58)

Version 12.7.1.4 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

Viber is a messaging and calling app for Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android. Viber offers free, high-quality audio and video calls, all protected via a secure, encrypted connection.  Viber allows you to send free messages and make free calls to other Viber users, on any device and network, in any country. It syncs your contacts, messages and call history together with your mobile device, so you’ll start the conversation on the mobile application and continue from the comfort of your PC.

Vs WhatsApp
The most popular competition with Viber is WhatsApp, an app which also features messaging and VoIP. Both programs feature synchronized desktop, with WhatsApp available for either Windows or Mac. Viber is furthermore, but also includes support for Linux, which could be a welcome feather in its cap. By now both apps also offer equally strong HD quality options, given that users have access to high bandwidth connections.

privacy
Any information you share on Viber is safeguarded by their built-in encryption. Viber cannot read your personal chats (whether they’re one-on-one or in an exceedingly group), and it also can’t listen in on any video or audio calls. because of the default end-to-end encryption, Viber also can’t access any of your sent or received messages. Group conferences and direct conversations are only visible to the people involved.

Viber has some interesting features and is simple to use, and up to date releases have made improvements. With over 200 million users, Viber’s base has grown, too. But within the end, most users associate with what their crowd uses, so how useful Viber is to you’ll depend upon what your friends, family, and acquaintances use. Viber may be a great choice for calling, conferencing, or sending free messages to friends who share the mobile app. Its interface is also cluttered, but it remains intuitive for brand new users, and offers a plethora of features, all protected with Viber’s enhanced security and privacy measures. The app also offers a spread of features and games, but within the end its utility comes all the way down to what percentage of your contacts also are using Viber.
