Adobe Camera Raw is a Photoshop plug-in that launches automatically every time you open a RAW file in Photoshop. It enables you to work on the original image with plenty of tools, all conveniently organized in several tabs: basic adjustments, tone curve, grayscales, split toning, lens corrections, camera calibration and more.
Adobe Camera Raw plug-in delivers lightning-fast, easy access – within Photoshop – to “raw” image formats in professional and mid-range digital cameras from Canon, Fujifilm, Minolta, Nikon and Olympus. Available as a software add-on that works with Photoshop CS3 or Photoshop Elements software, the Photoshop Camera Raw plug-in allows photographers to directly manipulate the original data captured by a digital camera sensor, producing images with superior tonal range and the maximum amount of detail. The plug-in now also supports raw files in Digital Negative (DNG) format.
Supported camera models:
Canon, Casio, Contax, DxO, Epson, Fujifilm, Hasselblad, Kodak, Konica Minolta, Leaf, Leica, Mamiya, Nikon, Nokia, Olympus, Panasonic, Pentax, Phase One, Ricoh, Samsung, Sigma, Sony, Yuneec.
Adobe Camera Raw is very easy to install. Simply unzip the archive and copy the 8bi file into the Program Files/Common Files/Adobe/Plug-Ins/CS4/File Formats folder. The only con is that it’s only compatible with Photoshop CS4.
