Whats New (version 2021 25.4.1 Build 30290)

Acronis True Image 2021 for Windows has become a cyber protection product with enhanced backup and protection capabilities:

- .tibx archives can now be mounted, moved, renamed, and converted to the .vhd format

- Added an option to validate only the latest backup version to speed up the regular validation process

- Versions of backups to Acronis Cloud now can be cleaned up from the Acronis True Image console

- Backup replication to the Acronis Cloud now supports resuming, which helps save time for those with an unstable internet connection. In case of a connection issue, the replication of backups to the Acronis Cloud stops. When the connection is restored, the replication continues from the point where it stopped, to prevent duplication of the already replicated data

- The Web Restore page was redesigned to make the Anywhere Access to cloud data faster, more secure, and convenient

To better protect our users, Acronis True Image has received additional security functionalities to shield data from any type of malware:

- Enhancements to our real-time protection can block not only ransomware, but other types of malware, too

- The on-demand antivirus scans can search at-risk file types, or your entire system, for viruses

- Web filtering protects you from malicious websites

- Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and WebEx meetings are protected from intrusion and theft of personal information

We also decided to add a security bulletin to the release notes, to make sure we are totally transparent:

- [SEC-1767] Possible denial of service due to insecure folder permissions. The issue was assigned CVE-2020-9452, CVSS score 4.2 (medium). We want to thank HackerOne researcher @mjoensen for reporting this to us.

Acronis True Image 2020 delivers the ability of integration, with data protection, cybersecurity, and management features you control from one intuitive dashboard. With 100+ enhancements and new features, True Image for PC keeps you current.

Acronis True Image is arguably the most featured backup tool available today. other than backing up your entire drive, it also offers one in all the fastest in terms of performance. It helps you to upload your files online within minutes, and though there are lots of background processes, it didn’t impact the daily computing experience negatively.

Acronis’ mobile experience was mixed at best; we used an Android tablet to check out the file-syncing and cloud-backup features. Though it recognized our synced drive, it kept crashing even after trying to form a replacement folder. Your mileage may vary betting on the compatibility of your Android device and therefore the version of your OS. For our device, it hell for leather didn’t work as intended. Acronis’ other syncing and cloud features may sound great but its strongest asset lies within the the program’s default disk backup and cloning functions; they’re speedy and effective. We recommend that you just exercise caution when using other recovery options, especially if you’ve got other backup programs installed, as Acronis uses its own unique format.

Acronis True Image looks cleaner and attractive, during a modern, 2D quite way. But, it still not particularly intuitive and user-friendly. It lacks tooltips, and its tiny scroll bars need finer mousework than necessary. If you’re not aware of backup tools, you might need to review.
